It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Wood of Marlette, Michigan, born in Melvin, Michigan, who passed away on August 17, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah Scott (Allen) and Russell Scott; her brother Ralph Scott; her siblings-in-law, Bonnie Scott and Robert Rudd; her granddaughter Renee Wood; and her parents-in-law, Mary and Walter Wood.
She is survived by: her husband Oliver R. Wood; her children, Deborah Sherman, Carol Dorman (Scott), Dale Wood (Danell) and Sheila Robine (Joe); her grandchildren, Dr. Kreg Sherman II (Emily Flynn), Alexa Butler (Ty), Bradley Dorman, Cassandra Blatt (Asa), Cole, Carson Wood, Ethan and Keaton Robine; her great grandchildren, Hendrix Dorman and Ezri Butler; and her siblings-in-law, Donald, Kathy Wood and Grace Rudd.
Due to Covid 19 Regulations we will adhere to the strict guidelines and are asking all visitors to bring and wear a mask or face covering during the visitation and funeral. Due to Covid 19 Regulations a private funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 20, 2020 for immediate family members with Pastor Chris Wolf officiating.
