It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Potter of Marlette, Michigan, born in Brown City, Michigan, who passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Potter and Maxine Potter (McCready); his birth mother Minnie Potter (Bell); and his brothers, Harry Potter (Helen), Ernest Potter (Liz) and Thomas Potter.
He is survived by: his wife Sherryl; his sons, Dale Potter (Laurie) and Daniel Potter (Suzie); his grandchildren, James Potter (Carla), Daniyle Weir (Dave), Caleb Potter (Mary Ann Peterson), Sarah Eddy, Joshua Potter (Saskia) and Josiah Potter (Laura); his great grandchildren, GracieMae Weir, Lucy Weir, Dakota Potter, Jorah Potter, Rhys Potter, Miya Peterson, Starla Peterson and Eliana Peterson; his brothers, James Potter (Vera) and Ronald Potter (June); and his sister-in-law Gayle Potter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Marlette First Church (3155 Main St, Marlette, MI 48453). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund in care of Sherryl Potter.
