He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvan Friend and Jessie Friend (Valade); his siblings, Cleo Sylvan Friend, Sr., William Friend, Dayton Friend and Ilene Friend; and also Daniel Kidder.
He is survived by: his daughter Bobette; his friends, Gaylord and Lori Friend (Tom Moody) of Marion; his son Douglas (Shelly); his grandchildren, Maria Friend (Josh), Dayton Friend, Jeffrey Friend (Sarah), Samantha Friend Barton (Tanner) and Kristopher Boyette (Geronima); his stepgrandchildren, Jerilee Dwyer (Ted) and Shannon Moorman (Jeff); and his great grandchildren, Heaven, Owen, Ella, Maisie, Jackson, Jameson, Cayden, Deliya, Aiyana, Melissa and Kris Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home (406 E Main St, Marion, MI 49665). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
