He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Westmaas and Tena Westmaas (Vredevoogd); his wife Henrietta Mae Lucas; his daughter Valerie Scholten; his siblings, Evelyn Benthem (Hilbert), Claressa Cnossen (Sid), Gert Vanderveen (Henry) and Rich Westmaas (Evelyn); and his siblings-in-law, George Lucas, Maurice, Joan Hamming, Fred, Alvis Lucas, Harold and Jane Quist.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Westmaas of Marion, Larry Westmaas (Karen) of Marion, Alan Westmaas (Sally) of Marion and Cynthia DeRuiter (Dave) of Lake City; his son-in-law Mark Scholten of McBain; his grandchildren, Danielle Hoekstra (Dan), Katlyn Westmaas, Brandon Westmaas (Demi), Jessica Westmaas, Ryan Westmaas (Kimber), Rachel Westmaas Yun (Haam), Melanie Schmid (Kyle), Alyssa Cnossen (Garet), Kendra Westmaas, Christopher DeRuiter, Allison DeRuiter, Emily DeRuiter, Stevie Scholten and Lucas Scholten (Grace); his brother Marvin Westmaas (Char) of Byron Center; and his sister-in-law Freda Eisenga (Bruce) of Marion. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
