With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert William George (Marine City, Michigan), who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George George and Helen George; his son Edward George; his grandson David George; and his siblings, William George and Jackie Pontseele (Robert).
He is survived by: his wife Mary P. Murphy; his children, Veronica Gaetz (Gene), William George, John George, Polly Stockman (Tom), Cynthia Seigneurie (Bob), Frank George (Trisha) and Jennifer Kirby; and his siblings-in-law, Maureen George and Robert Pontseele. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the River Parish (610 S Water St, Marine City, MI 48039). Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (610 S Water St, Marine City, MI 48039). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
