Norman Markel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Markel of Marine City, Michigan, who passed away on May 30, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Alfred Markel; his son-in-law Dan Stierlet; his grandson Eric Quandt; and his siblings, Donald Markel, Viola Endres and Barbara Haack.
He is survived by: his children, Geri Markel, Helen Love, Tom Markel (Cathy), Nancy Stierlet, Gary Markel (Debbie), Wendy LaFontaine (Joe) and Norman Markel, Jr.; and his close friend Jody Klier. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Blue Water Hospice or family wishes.
