She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Markel and Betty Markel; and her siblings, Charlotte Markel, Joseph Markel, Gerald Markel and Dale Markel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Osterland, Carolyn Dupuie (James) and Michelle Cox (Jeffery); her grandchildren, Bryce Gordon (Kristin), Jenna Gordon (Jack), J. J. Dupuie (Micah), Troy Cox (Sydney) and Alexis Cox (Jake); her great grandchild Norah Jean Dupuie; her brother Charles Markel Jr. (Sandi); and her sister-in-law Darlene Markel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Village of East Harbor, New Baltimore or Henry Ford Hospice.
