He was predeceased by: his parents, William King and Angie King (Rogers); and his brother Rick King. He is survived by: his wife Alice; his daughter Laura Johnson (Paul) of Pontiac; his grandchildren, Brennan Turk of New Baltimore, Logan Turk of Pontiac and Ally Johnson of Pontiac; his siblings, Marge Rose (Ron), John King (Lori), Jim King and Alice King; and his friend Larry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
