He is survived by: his wife Sheila Whitis; his sons, Eric Whitis (Crystal) and Kyle Whitis; his grandchildren, Brayden and Grace Whitis; his siblings, Christy Whitis (Bonnie), Branda Achatz (Joe), Keith Whitehurst (Bobbie) and Cory Whitis (Carissa); and his close friend Matthew Wesch. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
