He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Furtah and Dorothy Furtah. He is survived by: his wife Rose Furtah; and his children, Joseph Furtah (Jessica), Julie Hardoin (Tim) and Susan Ward (Andy). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home (4061 St Clair Hwy, East China, MI 48054). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:20 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:10 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (444 Pleasant St, Marine City, MI 48039).
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Blue Water Humane Society.
