He was predeceased by: his parents, William Buel and Mary "Ada" Buel; his wife Jean; his daughter Sharon Buel; and his grandson Jason Buel.
He is survived by: his sons, Terry Buel (Cathy) of Clinton Township and Donald Buel of Marine City; his grandchildren, Patrick Francis (Courtney), Kelly Ray (Chris), Michael Francis and Kimberly McQueen (Robert); and his great grandchildren, Ella, Ashely, Brian, Alisha and Casidey.
