It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Andrew Markel (Marine City, Michigan), who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife MaryAnne; his son David; his grandson Joseph Otto; his siblings, Michael Markel and Theresa Livernois; and his parents-in-law, Duke Livernois, Melvin Westrick, Roy, Pat Umlauf, Evelyn, George Sommers, Jack, Irene Umlauf, Betty, Charles Markel, Doreatha Markel, Lorraine Umlauf and Leon Umlauf.
He is survived by: his significant other Mary Anne Umlauf; his children, Kathlynn Markel, JoAnne Otto (Tim) and Jil-Anne Essinger (Paul); his granddaughter Margaret Otto; his sister Mary Ann Markel; and his brother-in-law Robert Umlauf.
A face mask or face covering is required at church and social distancing is recommended.
