She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kangas and Elli Maria Kangas (Linn); her husband Marco Whitley; her sons, Terry John and Derald Lee; her daughter-in-law Mary Whitley; her sister Ruth; her brother-in-law Mike Connor; her brother John; and her sister-in-law Margaret Kangas.
She is survived by: her son Mark (Betsy); her daughter-in-law Judi Yatchak; her grandchildren, Mark D. (Sheila), Scott (Stephanie), Stacie (George), Laura (Kevin), T. J. (Michelle), Ryan (Stacy) and Allison (Nick); her great grandchildren, Andrew, Connor, Ethan, Staysha, Katrina, Haylee, Delanee, Wes, Adam, Nora, Scarlett June and Jayde Ivy; her great great grandchild Eloise; her brother Richard "Bill" Kangas (Ann Marie) of Illinois; and her nephew Rick Niemi (Cheryl).
