He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert TerMeer and Dorothy TerMeer (Dexter); and his siblings, Bob TerMeer, Bill TerMeer and Carol TerMeer.

He is survived by: his wife Linda TerMeer; his sons, Tom TerMeer (Erin) and Doug TerMeer (Melissa); his siblings, John TerMeer (Marge), Janet Adams, Diane Higley and Alice TerMeer; and his grandchildren, Taylor Lutz (Robby), Zakary TerMeer (Carly) and Alivia TerMeer.
