She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hawes and Elsie Hawes (Armstrong); her husband Jack Schuman; her son Jamie Schuman; and her sisters, Aleva Bowen and Lila Kasinger.
She is survived by: her children, Chip Schuman (Jennie) of Mattawan and Khim Peoples (Gary) of Kalamazoo; and her grandchildren, Gavin Peoples (Taylor) of Westland, MI, Collin Peoples of Plainfield, IL, Courtney Franco (Diego) of Mattawan and Connor Schuman of Mattawan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
