He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Dale and Eulah Kahler (Standard); his brother Ronnie Kahler; and his brother-in-law Wayne Essex. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Powell; his children, LaShel Mencl (Craig) of Lawton, Jennifer Fisher (Ben) of Marcellus and Troy Kahler of Marcellus; his grandchildren, Branden Kahler (Carly), Adam Kahler, Kyle Kahler (Chelsea), Sean Mencl (Colleen), Jacob Mencl (Summer), Sarah Mencl (Chad Stewart), Sydney Fisher and Madison Fisher; his great grandchildren, Lundyn Kahler, Nora Kahler, Nolan Kahler, Sean Mencl, Josie Mencl, MaKaya Marcoux and Finnigan Mencl; his siblings, Patricia Swartz (Ronald), Marilyn "Sue" Essex of Three Rivers and Larry Kahler (Robin) of Marcellus; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Singley (Eric) of Edwardsburg and Rock Powell (Mary Kay) of Marcellus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
