He is survived by: his parents, Eddie Payton (Kathy) of Big Rapids, MI and Linda Murray of Portage, MI; his children, Bradlee Payton of West Olive, MI, Tina Payton of Greenville, MI and Blake Payton of Marcellus, MI; his siblings, Penny Myers (William) of Constantine, MI, Sky Payton of Portage, MI, Jamie Beck (Cameron) of Fort Wayne, IN, Thomas Middlestadt of White Pigeon, MI, Jody Zueren (Bob) of Big Rapids, MI, Micky Payton of Paris, MI and Heath Payton (Tara) of Big Rapids, MI; and his close friends, Dan and Janice Ludlow of Marcellus, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
