He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gibson and Viola May Gibson (Williams); and his sister Bonita Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Mattie Gibson; his children, Eric Gibson (Amy Cangas), Lisa Reynolds (Scott), Jon Gibson (Cheryl) and Michele Reynolds (Bill Seiber); his grandchildren, Korey Gibson (Sarah), Jeff Maliskey (Mark), Cierra Schoetzow (Jordan Carey), Derek Schoetzow (Jade Olin), Alexandria Peters (Brian), Kyle Gibson (Jalen), Amber Lester (Mike) and Lilly Seiber; and his sisters, Crystal Dorr (Bill) and Peggy Hoebeke (Jack). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Jimmy's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
