James Higgs Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 5, 2024, at the age of 79, James Higgs (Marcellus, Michigan), born in Plainwell, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Higgs to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Charles and Ruth Mary Higgs (Walker); his friend Tom Somers; his former wife Sue Knight of Otsego; his children, Bob Higgs (Lynn) and Dianna Stampfler; his wife Suzanne Petzold of Millington; his stepchildren, Allan and Katelyn; his grandchildren, Mike Higgs (Kristina), Mollie Stampfler, Matt Higgs (Emma), Marie Rohr (Ethan) and Caleb Stampfler (Sierra); and his great grandchildren, Mayla, Harper, Easton, Frankie and Emerson. He was also cherished by his parents, grandparents, family and friends.

Over the years, Jim has been active in countless local organizations including the Miss Plainwell Pageant and Pipp Foundation Endowment Fund.
