He is survived by: his wife Ruby Kirby of Virginia; his children, Tina Middlestadt (David), James Johnson Jr. (Christi), Nancy Johnson and Crystal Johnson (Roger); his grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron Middlestadt, Marshall, Deanna Johnson, Dakri Jordan, Alyssa and Dominic Haskins; and his great grandchildren, Emmathyst, Hadley Jordan and Atlas Haskins.
