He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira H. Newman and Bertha M. Newman (Gilbert); his sister Nancy Jane Lanham (Newman); and his wife Mary. He is survived by: his children, Dolores "Dee" Wilkinson (Kelley), Timothy Newman and George Newman (Ginger); his grandchildren, Laura Nemeskal (Adam), Andrea Cooper (Ben), Keira Newman, Katelyn Newman and Oliver Newman; his great grandchildren, Gideon and Clayton Nemeskal; his sister-in-law Bonnie Sullivan; his grandson Chris DeMoulpied (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Grace and Owen; his grandsons, Brandon DeMoulpied and Brian Wilkinson; and his close friend Jim Shillington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Twin Lakes Park - Gilbert Lodge (6800 N Long Lake Rd, Traverse City, MI 49685). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
