He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Patrick and Florence Mae Downey (Krampe); and his brothers, Edward and Robert Downey. He is survived by: his children, Johnny Downey of San Diego, CA, Michael Downey (Jennifer) of Cadillac, Tammie Matheney (David Langley) of Wilmington, NC, Sherrie Ingraham, Jr. (Paul "Charlie") of Manton and Amanda Downey (Chris Sylvester) of Lake City; and his siblings, Patricia Urness (Gerald), Donald Downey (Irma), Daniel Downey (Sue) and Kathy Prange (John). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
