He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lovell and Kathleen Lovell (Paddock); his wife Jill Lovell; his son-in-law Willy Dake; his foster son Richard "Dickie" Hermel; and his siblings, Jeanette, Harold, Jim, Jess and Jeffery.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Lovell (Timothy Holm) of Manton and Trudy Harper (Brad VanEffen) of Cadillac; his grandchildren, Samantha Denning (Jacob), Tessa Bradley (Jerry), Bennett Reidt and Hunter Reidt; his great grandchildren, Ashtyn-Michael, Masyn-Adam, Ayden, Adalynn and Adrian; his siblings, Sally Rydstrom, Joan Babcock, Jean Truesdale, June Bever, Judy Heady (Jim), Roxy Letts (Gary), Glorida Peterson (Oscar), Rebecca "Becky" Borgstrom, Harley Lovell and David Lovell; his brother-in-law Joe Mattison; and his pet Jakey. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
