She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Dickerson and Mabel Dickerson (Shivilie); her husband Richard "Dick" Dubois; her former husband Boyd Carpenter; her children, BJ Carpenter and Robin Smith; her siblings, Micki Drumm and Jay Dickerson; her stepsons, Michael and Tommy; and her son-in-law Marwin Burlew.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Sowels (Bob) of LaGrange, Jim Carpenter (Alfie) of Osseo, Loretta Burlew of Reading, Mark Carpenter (Vi) of Hillsdale, Bruce Carpenter of Blue Ridge, Victor Carpenter (Melissa) of Hillsdale, Randy Carpenter of Hillsdale and Howard Carpenter of Indiana; her stepchildren, Richard Dubois (Colleen Stull Miles) of Oregon, Patty Bannick (Donald) of Litchfield, Steve Dubois (Lori) of Jonesville, Valarie Jordan (Andrew "AJ") of Manitou Beach and Jennette Napier of Jerome; her sister Helen Graham (Bud) of Grant, Michigan; and her son-in-law Tim Smith of Reading. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
