William Charles Dunning Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Charles Dunning of Manistique, Michigan, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dunning and Florence Dunning (Hobson); his in-laws, Adolph and Lorraine Schmitzer; his brother Thomas Dunning; and his brothers-in-law, Dick Schmitzer and Jerry Dickerson.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Dunning (Schmitzer); his sister Sandra Dickerson; his sister-in-law Ruth Schmitzer; his children, Chris Dunning (Christine) of Auburn, MI, Colleen Thompson (Dan) of Ft. Myers, FL and Thom Dunning (Stacy) of Grand Rapids, MI.; his grandchildren, Caleb Dunning (Brittany), Carli Bowman (Peter Winberg), Stephanie Dunning (Ryan Dorman) and Nathan Thompson (Amy); and his great grandchildren, Jasper, River, Noah and Chloe. He is also survived by close friends and caregivers.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hiawatha Country Church (4740N M-94, Manistique, MI 49854).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hiawatha Country Church in Bill's memory.
