He was predeceased by: his parents, Artness DeMars and Edna DeMars (Mitchell); and his sister Janet Shoobridge. He is survived by: his wife Terry DeMars of Manistique; his children, Tony DeMars (Debbie) of Jackson, MI and Tina Schenkel (Russell Stoner) of Manistique, MI; his stepson Michael Fockler of Ypsilanti, MI; and his siblings, Jerome DeMars of Cut, William DeMars of Ypsilanti, MI, Elenore Gould (Dallas) of Manistique, MI, Margaret Burton of Manistique, MI and Anne Kendell of Manistique, MI. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
