She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Lubeski and Mabel Lubeski (Lafferty); her husband Norman Melms; and her brother Louis Lubeski. She is survived by: her children, Craig Melms (Regina) of Kerrville, TX, Mark Melms (Diane) of Clinton Township, MI, Randy Melms of New Haven, MI and Sharon Szydlowski (Ernest) of Manistique. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions in Shirley's name may be made to the St. Francis de Sales Parish, to be used for Masses for Shirley.
