She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Cook and Dorothy Dixon (Dixon); her former husband Alton "Blackie" Volz; her husband Donald Fritz; her brothers, Gerald Judd and Wallace Cook; and her grandson Ethan Stott.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Volz of Manistique, MI, Arbor Volz (Russel) of Manistique, MI, Brenda Martin (Charles) of Lake Placid, FL, Connie Johnson (Jim) of Manistique, MI and Dana Stott (Karl) of Fairfield, MT.; her sister-in-law Blanche Judd of Manistique, MI.; her grandchildren, Crystal Martin, Justin Johnson (Melissa), Michelle Ervin (James), Brittany Flogaus (Chris), Bradley Zellar (Brittney) and Jamie Jackson; her great grandchildren, Abbi Popour, Hannah Reno, Jayden Johnson (Cassie), Dawn Johnson, Hannah Jeske, Jakob Jeske (Brianna), Riley Jeske (Kaitlyn), Rylee Jeske, Emily Jeske, Kahlan, Cara, Robert Flogaus, Sawyer, Logan Zellar, Bailie Jackson, Wesley and Wyatt Setterlind; and her great great grandchildren, Kinsley, Maverick, Myles, Jaxxon, Zayne and River.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Marilyn's honor to the Manistique Senior Center or the Eva Burrell Animal Shelter of Manistique, MI.
