He was predeceased by: his parents, Napoleon DesJarden (Pokey) and Lila Ann DesJarden (Popour); his son Bob DesJarden; and his brothers, Terry and Butch DesJarden.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Malott; his children, Daniel DesJarden (Linda) of Lowell, Jeff DesJarden (Sherry) of Hesperia, MI and Tina Nutting (Dwight) of Waynesville, MO; his siblings, Allen DesJarden (Marylee), Elroy DesJarden of Cooks, MI, Jay DesJarden (Marci) of Cooks, MI, Dean DesJarden of Cooks, MI, Rita Sturdy of Escanaba, MI, Verna Orr-Lakosky of Garden, Shirley Shampine of Cooks, MI, Karen Pilon of Rapid River, MI and Bonnie Elliott of Cooks; his sister-in-law Patti DesJarden of Cooks; and his grandchildren, Jason, Kelli, Teresa, Tera, Mindi and Tim. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces' nephews and cousins.
