He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Shortridge and Patricia M. Shortridge (Nesberg); his brothers, Russell Dennis and Jay; and his nephew Jimmy Denman.
He is survived by: his wife Tori of Manistique; his daughter Shannon Hider (Jamie) of Manistique; his sisters, Carla Miller (Bruce) of Manistique and Sandra Shortridge of Manistique; his grandchildren, Huntur and Cody Salisbury of Manistique; and his nephews, Dennis Shortridge (Stef), Joseph Williams (Jess) and Matthew Williams (Ariana).
