He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth I. Gauthier (Strehl) and Clifford Gauthier; his brother-in-law John Steinpres; and his nephew Jeff Steinpres. He is survived by: his wife Donna Gauthier of Manistique; his daughters, Jenny Gauthier of Petoskey, Julie Gauthier of Manistique and Laura Peterson (Andrew) of Alpena, MI; his grandchildren, Jenna Peterson, Alexis Peterson, Evan Peterson, Natalie Gauthier and Nicholas Gauthier; and his sister Joann Steinpres of Bay City, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in John's memory may be directed to the Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
