She was predeceased by: her parents, George B. Macfarlane and Viola Macfarlane (Lawrence); her husband Leo DeMars; her son Jimmie Lee DeMars; and her siblings, Gary Macfarlane, George "Jimmie" Macfarlane and Barbara "Joan" Beckman (Jane Kay Heminger).
She is survived by: her children, Randy DeMars (Julie Johnson) of Manistique, MI, Michael DeMars (Michele) of Howards Grove, WI, Patrick DeMars (Mary) of Manistique, MI, Cathy Tufnell (Robert) of Manistique, MI and Laurie Barr (Corey) of Manistique, MI; her brother Jack Macfarlane of Manistique, MI; and her siblings-in-law, Carl Beckman of Manistique, MI, Ruriko Macfarlane of Vacaville, CA and Arlene Macfarlane of Escanaba, MI. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Jean's name may be sent to the Steeple and Stained-Glass Fund or the Church's Library at First Baptist Church of Manistique, MI.
