He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Milton and Beulah Eulaliah MacPhail (Bauman); his sister Carole Reid; his daughter-in-law Kerri MacPhail; and his nephew Raymond Reid Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Nancy MacPhail of Manistique; his children, Donald William MacPhail Jr. (Amy) of Manistique, Lori Wood (Brian) of Manistique and Karla Zellner (Tim) of Manistique; his brother-in-law Raymond Reid of Manistique; his grandchildren, Mandy Spettel (Chris), Candace Wood (Jay Dortch), Chelsea Dennis (Adam), Scott Zellner (Christie), Jessi Carlson (Jordan), DJ MacPhail (Dominique), Logan MacPhail (Melissa Mattson), Sydnee MacPhail, Cody Potvin (Kiah) and Cole Potvin (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Pressley, Kelson, Wiley Spettel, Jameson Dennis, Isla, Scarlett Zellner, Elena Carlson, Bennie, Maevyn MacPhail, Zayden, Adlynn Potvin, Charlie and Crew Potvin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
