She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Chartier and Mable Chartier (Freeman); her former husband Albert Ackerman; her husband Herschel Brooks; and her brother George Chartier.
She is survived by: her children, Joseph Ackerman (Lisa Oslund), Cassie, Hunter of Kingsford, MI and Jackie Ackerman (Obe) of Arizona; her grandchildren, Kailyn, Kaitly and Montgomery; and her great grandchild Ella Rose. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
