He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Anselm and Edna Catherine Louis (Kauthen); his daughter Christina; and his siblings, Robert, Melvin, John, Dorothy, Margaret, Paulina and Muriel.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Marie Marks; his children, Richard Louis of Kalamazoo, MI, Robert Louis (Karen) of Baraga, MI, Patrick Louis (Jody) of Battle Creek, MI, Katherine Waldron (Steve) of Vicksburg, MI and Barbara Louis of Manistique, MI; and his brother Myron Louis (Janet) of Missouri. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
