He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schaible and Magdalena Schaible (Girbach); and his sister-in-law Mary Pfaus. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Schaible (Geiger); and his children, Daniel Schaible (Julie) of Manchester, Jane Braem (Robert) of Caro, Joan Meagher (Robert) of Ann Arbor, Michael Schaible (Diane) of Manchester and Carol Wahl (Steven) of Clinton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, PO Box 13, Bridgewater, Michigan and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
