He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Packman and Gail Packman; his grandfather Frank Packman; his father-in-law Oscar Chantiny; and his brother-in-law Dan Kapala.

He is survived by: his wife Lana Packman; his children, Brenda, Fern, Landon, Niki and Lance; his brother Gerald; and his sisters-in-law, Lori Decker (Rick), Lisa Kapala and Heather Nelson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
