It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Lawrence Kitchen of Mancelona, Michigan, born in Alba, Michigan, who passed away on August 10, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kitchen and Eva Kitchen (Davis); his former wife Carol; and his brother Bill. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen O'Dell; his children, Teresa Sully (Larry) of Harrison Township, MI and Daniel Kitchen (Kathleen) of Gaylord; his stepsons, Ted O'Dell (Michelle) of Mancelona, Tod O'Dell (Tammy) of Mancelona, Michael O'Dell (Wanda) of Fredrick and Brian O'Dell (Danielle) of Mancelona; his siblings, Robert Kitchen (Harriet) of Homer, AK, Florence Dowker (Les) of Gaylord and Mary Gapinski (Don) of Gaylord; and his granddaughter Samantha Sova (Jason) of Gaylord. He is also survived by many other grandchildren and great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
