He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Batterbee and Celestia Batterbee; his wife Elizabeth Derrer (Betsy); his children, Gwen (Ron Schmidt), Jerry (Diana Batterbee), Jean Precious and Bonnie (Chris Meiste); and his siblings, Mark, Eunice and Elsa. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
