He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Farough and Anna Farough (Barkala); his siblings, Cathryn and David; and his cousins, Elaine Olin and Richard Kilponen.

He is survived by: his cousin Anne Marie Marcella (Jim) of Traverse City; and his nieces, Rebecca Velazquez and Christine Dziewit.
