He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wayne Lanning and Shirley Lanning; his children, Seth Lanning (Morgan Buscher), Laurelin (Chris Martin) and Marissa Lanning (Jarred Fitch); his grandchildren, Sylvia and Dexter; his siblings, Mike, Edna Lanning, Patricia Lanning, Jim Allen and Carolyn Lanning; his wife Jana; and his sister Harriet Lanning. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Custer Township Hall (2949 Alden Hwy, Mancelona, MI 49659). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Mancelona Public Library in person or at PO Box 499 - Mancelona MI 49659, as reading to his children and grandchildren brought him great joy.
