It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Leon Clark of Madison Heights, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Pamela Purta; his grandson John Purta; his parents, Lavern Clark and Marguerite Clark (Rupp); his brothers, Donald and Norman Clark; and his brothers-in-law, Joe Bolton, Thomas Miller and Thomas Cromie.
He is survived by: his children, Denise McCarthy (Kenneth) and Richard Clark (Terri); his grandchildren, Matthew McCarthy (Diane), Kristin Affeldt (Jason), Kelli Vallone (Ryan), Ryan Clark (Taylor), Dean Clark (Ashley) and Katie Clark; his great grandchildren, Pamela Purta, Ayden, Chloe, Harper Affeldt, Chase, Rheagan, Sutton, Rylan Vallone, Teagan, Maeve, Rowan McCarthy and Lucy Clark; his sisters, Beatrice Bolton and Karen Aldred (David); his siblings-in-law, Robin Kim (Frank), Carol and Douglas Miller (Laureen); and his close friend Peggy Michrina. He is also survived by his family time with his kids, grandkids.
