He was predeceased by: his wife Marianna; his son-in-law Tom Sage; his parents, Michael Welsh and Catherine Welsh; and his siblings, Terry, Catherine, Margaret, Rita, Thomas, Patricia, Geraldine, Robert, Charles, Arthur, Clara, Joseph and James.
He is survived by: his daughters, Catherine Sage and Maureen Gonzales (Berney); his granddaughters, Carrie Madley (Steve), Shannon Messer (Jason) and Tamara Pesaros (Paul); his great grandchildren, Cameron (Aubrie), Mateo, Keiton, Isidora, Thea and Drew Regis; and his great great grandchild Maverick.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hopcroft Funeral Home-Madison Heights (31145 John R Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071). A rosary was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church (Madison Heights, MI). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent Ferrer (Madison Heights, MI).
