She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Irvine and Mary Irvine; and her husband Ralph Merkel. She is survived by: her children, Martha Hammer (Don), Cynthia Merkel, Fred Merkel, Iretha White (Robert), Sarah Merkel and Laura Pauley (Douglas); her grandchildren, Kateri, Angela, Christine, Rebecca, Geneva, Felicia and Douglas Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Makayla, Lilly, Joaquin, Blake, Bobby, Brooke, Natalie, Mason, Emily, Alyssa, Selena, Annie, Bayley and Luke.
