As we bid Douglas farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Douglas is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman Evans and Helen Evans; his wife Mary Ann; his children, Debbie (Shane), Mike (Ann Marie), Pam (Scott) and David (Michelle); and his sister Kathy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home (30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, MI 48071). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church (28353 Herbert St, Madison Heights, MI 48071).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Capuchin Fathers in Doug's Honor.
