It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Atwell of Madison Heights, Michigan, born in Highland Park, Michigan, who passed away on March 9, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Chopp and Grace Eldridge Chopp; her former husband Carl Atwell; her children, Cheryl Babbie (Nabeel), Carl Atwell Jr. (Debbie), Kevin Atwell (Stefani Seigal) and Charlie Shuten (David); and her husband National Shrine. She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, in memory of her husband or National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica are appreciated.
