He is survived by: his wife Virginia Dueweke; his child Chelaine Fertner (Greg); his grandson Jackson Fertner; his siblings, Robert Dueweke, Debra Huchok (James), Gregory Dueweke, Donald Dueweke (Manh) and Mary Ballinger (late Joseph); and also Celena Cowen (John).

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Glen Eden East Cemetery (19810 26 Mile Rd, Macomb, MI 48042). A burial was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM.
