Michael Simurdiak Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Simurdiak (Macomb, Michigan), who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Michael leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Daniel Simurdiak and Anita Simurdiak; his wife Karen; his sons, Matt Griffin and Eric Simurdiak; his grandchildren, Maggie Blondell (Joseph "JD"), Amelia Griffin and Henry Griffin; and his siblings, Annette Rooney (Patrick) and Gary Simurdiak. He was also cherished by many nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lee-Ellena Funeral Home (46530 Romeo Plank Rd, Macomb, MI 48044).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Simurdiak family, Alzheimer's Association, or the American Heart Association.
