He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Fredal and Agnes Fredal; and his siblings, Joseph Fredal (Frances), Ralph Fredal (Blanche) and Thomas Fredal.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Fredal (Krass); his children, Ann Marie Fredal (Joseph Coriaty), Lynda Zott (Patrick), John Fredal, Jr. (Kathleen), Sharon Fredal (Albert Lake), Carrie Fredal-Estapa (Mark) and Joseph Fredal (Teresa); his grandchildren, Joseph, Natalie, Jeremy, Nicholas, Philip (Courtney), Elizabeth (Collin), Anna (Ridge), Jack (Alexandra), Celia, John, Mark and Benjamin; and his great grandchildren, Eve, Cameron, Valerie, Ari, Ezra and Felix. He is also survived by his children's and grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lee-Ellena Funeral Home (46530 Romeo Plank Rd, Macomb, MI 48044). The lying in state was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Therese of Lisieux Parish (48115 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Resurrection Cemetery (18201 Clinton River Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48038).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
