He was predeceased by: his parents, James Penman and Rosemary Penman. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his son Jim "Jimmy" Penman (Catherine); his sister Lori Penman; his siblings-in-law, John and Jill Genuit; and his nephews, Josh (Sarah), David (Melanie), Aaron (Kim), Dean (Lydia) and Kaleb.

Memorials would be appreciated to St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens.
